The 4th part of the Narconon Rehabilitation Program is the Communication and Perception Course. Typically when using drugs, an individual can become very introverted, and will sometimes choose to not communicate any problems which are occuring with them. This can cause a drug addict to feel more shame and guilt about who they are, and the way they feel. This in-depth course of the Narconon program will initially focus on the students getting back into communication with others and the environment around them. This will be followed by special exercises to help the student to take attention off themselves, and putting more focus on their present time environment.

Success from the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program, which is one of the 8 parts of the overall Narconon Drug Rehab program utilizes a combination of exercise, sauna sweat-out and nutritional supplements and is closely supervised by trained detoxification staff to effectively help the recovering addict to get rid of the drug residuals and toxins from his/her body.
I graduated almost one year ago, and to this day I remain clean and sober and strong. 16 months clean. This is the most clean time I have had in 20 years. Narconon did for me what so many others failed to do. They brought me out of 2 decades of chronic use and abuse

I am very pleased to be able to share with you the story of how I got help and got my life back with the help of Narconon. I was always what you would call an addictive personality… if I tried anything that could possibly become addictive, I became an addict of it. I was very young when I started taking drugs and drinking alcohol excessively, age 12. I had kept it to weekends for a while, until it began to be drinks and drugs during the week, whether at school or skipping school to do it.

Once upon a time people asked a wise man, what is the easiest thing to do? He said, to advise others. Again they asked, what is the most difficult thing to do? He said, to know yourself. At the end of this program, most definitely you will know more about yourself, and it’s hard because it’s the most important thing to know in life.

Well, I have been putting this off for a while now. Not because I don’t want to tell the world the story of my success, but because there are no words to do the journey justice. I have as of today, been sober 1 year. I am a 22-year-old single mother. I left home when I was 14, because already I couldn’t face my mother in the condition I was in. I was already using PCP and Cocaine, soon after I was selling drugs. I used cocaine heavy for years and smoked crack. Because of this, and the lack of sleep I started using prescription drugs to sleep. I needed to be high night and day. I was going through withdrawals in my sleep, waking me in 2-hour intervals.

How’s everyone doing at Narconon? One day when I’m not so busy I would like to come and say hi to everyone and get some of those wonderful hugs I got when I left, very caring loving people work there and that feeling has never left me. I started my electrical apprenticeship 8 years ago and it’s only supposed to take 4 years to accomplish a journeyman license. I am now a second year apprentice in school studying to be a 3rd year.
