Move over Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston has come to join you! Whitney, and the multitude of other celebrities that died due to drug addictions, street drugs, or in many cases prescription drug addictions.
In researching the deaths of celebrities due to drug addictions, my heart became heavy. Society let these celebrities down. They had a problem and no one came to help them effectively.
What does Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Anna Nichole Smith, Brittany Murphy, Keith Moon, Steve Clark, Dana Plato and not to be mentioned least by any means, Judy Garland have in common. Yes they were all celebrities. They all had drug addictions. Most significantly they had been in and out of drug rehab systems. Most were given another addiction to replace the one they had tried to solve. Many of the celebrities also were put on mind altering and very addictive psychotropic drugs. But, they all died as a result of their drug abuses, original or newly created. Some, like Elvis, trusted his Doctor and just took what the Doctor told him to. A betrayal of trust.
If an addict goes for rehab when they come out they should be over their addictions. If they die later as a result of drugs, even if the alternative drugs they have been prescribed, then logically, they were not rehabilitated from their addictions. They were left with an alternative addiction. There are a number of drug rehabilitation systems out there that medicate to rehabilitate. From the statistics above, it appears that perhaps this doesn’t rehabilitate.

- Narconon Rehab Center in Fall
Narconon is quite a bit different. It is a learning system of rehabilitation. Withdrawal is supervised and done with natural substances to give the body what it needs to get over the addiction. Then the body is cleansed of the residue of the drug, hidden in the fatty cells of the body, waiting to come out and cause that desire for the drug. Then a large amount of education is given to the former addicts. They learn to confront, they learn to communicate, they learn to figure out what triggers the need to do drugs, and why they started to take the drugs in the first place.
Listening to the graduates of Narconon you can see the confidence that these people have that they are on the road to a new beginning. They know that they are cause of their future, not drugs. They can handle whatever is thrown at them when they get out of this residential rehab environment.
I guess the best thing about Narconon is its high effectiveness, which is recognized all around the world since the 1960′s.
Wouldn’t it be great if these celebrities would have found Narconon, and taken the program to shed themselves of their addictions? We could hear Whitney in concert one more time and heard Keith Moon perform with the WHO for another long while. We could have watched Anna Nicole Smith raise her daughter, watched Keith Ledger in many more movies. What a lot of talent society was robbed of. What a loss of mankind.
