istock 000005065271medium1 300x199 Effective Information Why Drugs Do More Harm Than GoodThrough effective drug education lectures, Narconon Trois-Rivieres has been able to reach thousands of children, educating them on the truth about drugs. The Narconon drug rehabilitation program also informs parents about useful information on how to talk to their children about drugs. Most children do not fully understand why drugs are harmful; this is why it is vitally important for children to really understand the truth about drugs. This is the only way a child will be able to make a personal decision to be drug free.

We are encouraging parents to tell their children that drugs are not any form of food or nutrition, and they will drastically change the way a person thinks, acts, feels, and will change the way their body works. It is important to understand all drugs are essentially poisons, and can affect people in three different ways. When drugs are taken in small quantities, it will act as a stimulant, and make a person hyper. When these drugs are taken in greater quantities, it tends to act as a sedative, and can put one to sleep. When extremely large dosages are taken fast enough, it will essentially kill someone. These points can prove to be useful when talking to children about drug and what they do. Unfortunately, there is much information available today telling kids drugs are safe; yet, the truth is, all drugs are harmful. Some drugs are so harmful they can be extremely toxic.

Narconon Troi-Rivieres drug prevention specialists are often asked the question, why do people take drugs? The answer typically is, people take drugs to eliminate some form of pain, unwanted feelings, or to avoid problems. When a person is using drugs, the drugs are considered valuable because they have produced a desired effect. For anybody to really understand why they started using drugs, they must first know what was wrong with them prior to using drugs. For example, it could be a physical problem causing pain, an attempt to calm down, solution to sleeping problems, wanting to be accepted by peers, boredom, or wanting to feel happier. The drugs became the temporary solution for these unwanted conditions and feelings. The person will continue to use the drugs, as they have no achieved a desired effect.
