The following story was written by a graduate of the Narconon Trois-Rivieres drug rehab program; this individual gave Kevin permission to publish their success so others can gain the confidence that sobriety is possible.
Hello everyone,
I graduated from the Narconon Program just before the beginning of July, 2009. Since I left Narconon, I have become a functioning member of society again. Before I became fully aware of my addiction and problem I believed I still was a functioning member of society. How wrong I was. I did make it to work, to pay my bills, and ‘survive’ barely. But every spare dollar I had went to feeding my downward spiral of alcohol and cocaine use. I thought there was nothing 
wrong with staying up for days because I was “being more productive” this way.
What I didn’t realize was the damage that I was causing to the people around me that I thought I was hiding my habit from. For 2 years I went from getting high on the occasional weekend escalating to doing it every waking second of my life. I thought that I could only feel normal when I was high. I reached out a couple times to friends for help only to wake up a couple days later thinking that there was nothing wrong again.
In the beginning of March, my friends and family held an intervention for me and at first I was angry. Angry with them, myself for getting caught using, and at the world for not just letting me live my life the way I wanted to. At this point, I started the Narconon program. I won’t lie to you, as many of you are already aware, it is an approach that I know I wasn’t expecting to deal with and defeat a drug addiction. However, with that being said, it works.
The Narconon program gave me my life back!
I no longer am consumed by the things and anti-social personalities that led me down my dark rabbit hole. I appreciate little things that I hadn’t appreciated for a very long time like spending time with friends and family, down to even smaller things like a nice day. Thank you to all the people and staff that I met while I was at Narconon. None of you will soon be or ever forgotten for giving me my life back!
