Experience has shown that drug residuals in the body can trigger cravings for more drugs as well as “flashbacks” and a range of unwanted drug-related condition.
The Narconon New Life Detoxification Program, which is one of the 8 parts of the overall Narconon Drug Rehab program utilizes a combination of exercise, sauna sweat-out and nutritional supplements and is closely supervised by trained detoxification staff to effectively help the recovering addict to get rid of the drug residuals and toxins from his/her body.
The following is a sample of the wins and gains experienced by individuals who have completed this very important part of the rehab program at Narconon Trois-Rivières.

“I want to say that I believe that this part of the program (sauna) was a very important part of my program. Not only has it detoxified my body from chemicals and toxins but it has cleaned my mind completely and also made me realize I can make clear decisions, weigh my thought out and also realize what has caused me from being able to make proper rational decisions .” — A.L.

“When I first started the program I was kind of excited but then later on I started to think it was a bunch of hocus pocus. Then I really did start to feel better…more energy…a lot more energy. Don’t want to use drugs now either and yeah, the days were long in the sauna. But it does get easier the further in you get and now I do believe it does help a lot for abusers.” — C.C.

“Sauna was a wonderful experience. Each day seemed to bring more life and energy to me. My skin feels great! I feel so clean like house cleaning. I think everyone should have the opportunity to do it.” — N.M.

“First impression of being in sauna sucked. I hated it the first two weeks. I could not handle it. I was having major headaches and was emotional. I was told this will all pass. I did not believe it as it was taking too long. Then after about two weeks the headache was getting less and I was not being emotional. I would only take potassium while in sauna and very little during the day. Today I feel fantastic. I am a believer now that sauna really helps. I have lots of energy and I feel refreshed…starting to have more dreams. So as much as sauna was hard, the end result really paid off. I am glad I experienced it.” — C.V.
.
“It was not easy, but it was so rewarding! This whole process I can describe as an alchemistry – transformation of many ingredients into something new and precious. In sauna, the ingredients are toxins in human body and vitamins and minerals and niacin and water and heat and many others. In the process of heating and sitting there for 4 to 5 hours every day for many days, purification and transformation happens. You can add also your ego to melt and surrender. Many realizations came to me…no attachment, live in the present moment, let go, trust in the process, smile and help others. I feel stronger physically, emotionally and mentally, younger and free.” — L.S.

“The sauna Program is a great way to get all the toxins/drugs out of the body. My mind is much more clear and I recommend it to all addicts!!” — L.
.

.
“How I feel now from when I started sauna is awesome. I feel like my old self before I started using drugs. I have all the energy in the world and a clear mind now thanks to sauna.” — K.H.
.
“I will attest that sauna was beneficial to me in releasing harmful toxins out of my body and making me a healthier person. It also made me more open-minded, I think. I believe that sauna has fully prepared me for the next phase of the program.” — D.C.
