William Benitez in 1968 was no longer in the penitentiary and no longer using heroin. He had two years earlier started a movement in the world of drug rehabilitation. He’d seen the worst of himself and experienced wasted years struggling for his next fix. He learned how to cut lose of addiction and how to make others able to do the same.
