Most pray for a healthy life, but there are some people who do not care about their health and their families’ health. These people are those who fall into the deadly hands of drugs and alcohol. I arrived at Narconon Trois-Rivieres on March 17th, 2009 from Kelowna, B.C. I was just released out of Kelowna’s General Hospital after almost loosing my life. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I had lung surgery and blood poisoning. My health, nutrition and weight were very fatal. My plans and intentions were never to become clean and sober or even come close to getting treatment. Living a long healthy prosperous life wasn’t something I saw for myself, even though I was raised in a family to believe so. I just took the wrong path for myself at a very young age. The quality of residential drug treatment centers range from average to very high. Poor quality residential centers, because of the nature of the services such centers need to provide, usually don’t last long and are therefore rarely found. Residential drug rehab programs and program centers are a very effective form of treatment because the patient is fully immersed in the program for the entire time that he/she is in treatment.
Should I go to rehab? If a person has asked himself or anyone else that question; the answer is yes, he should go to rehab. Just by asking the question, the addict has admitted that he has a problem and needs help to solve that problem. The admittance of having a drug problem is the first step and perhaps the most major step in a person’s rehabilitation.
