A Shining Light

There are no lights on the tree…
The only gift you want is to be free

Drugs have consumed you…through and through
There is nothing much else left to do

You sit alone not willing to fight
But through this darkness you see a light

There is hope this holiday season
You have given yourself a reason…

Life is the ultimate gift,
and you will overcome this horrible rift

The New Year will bring something great
For it is your willingness to survive that is your best trait

This joyous season will be shining with light
You gave the gift to never give up the fight
