I am doing wonderful, Narconon Trois-Rivieres really turned my life around and I will forever be grateful for all that I have learned from all my courses there. When I arrived there shortly after 9/11 that January I was a total (heroin addiction) mess, when I say mess I mean an absolute mess, I didn’t know whether I was coming or going. After I managed to get through withdrawal, I could have stuck my head in the sand and pretend not to face a beautiful life of happiness in which I control my own destiny.

If you find yourself living with a heroin addict, then you probably know from firsthand experience that it can be frightening, frustrating and painful. Many people have the misconception that addiction is strictly the problem of the addict, but nothing could be further from the truth. Addiction affects not only the addict, but everyone they love. It’s never easy living with someone who struggles with an addiction, and with heroin being one of the most addictive drugs available, it can be a longer process to get the addict to want help; longer than with most addictions.

Heroin is one of the strongest painkillers known to man. Addiction to this drug is hard and fast. While it may be extremely difficult finding out someone we care about is addicted to heroin, there are things you can do to help. The first thing you will want to do is find out all you can about the drug. There is a lot of information on the Internet about heroin that you may find helpful.

Can a heroin addict recover? Heroin is not the worse drug to detox from, but it’s not one of the easier ones either. Inpatient help in this instance normally works better for the drug addict than does out-patient.
