Residential drug treatment programs are drug addiction treatment programs where the patient lives inside the treatment center for the duration of the rehabilitation process. The quality of residential drug treatment centers range from average to very high. Poor quality residential centers, because of the nature of the services such centers need to provide, usually don’t last long and are therefore rarely found. Residential drug rehab programs and program centers are a very effective form of treatment because the patient is fully immersed in the program for the entire time that he/she is in treatment.
