Definition of Inpatient Rehab for Drug Abusers

An inpatient facility is one that is normally run 24 hours a day and temporarily houses drug abusers in order to provide them with the treatments and programs necessary to help them overcome their drug addiction. The drug users normally reside in this facility until they either decide to leave on their own or are released due to completion of programs. Inpatient facilities provide counseling, detoxification, wellness programs as well as a variety of other lessons, programs and treatments designed to help beat the drug addiction.
